Enjoy a memorable evening at the Medieval Arechi Castle, located 300 meters above sea level on the top of Mount Bonadies.
The Castle was built by Arechi II, a Lombard prince who chose a pre-existing fortress as the fulcrum of his new Capital, Salerno. He strengthened the ancient Roman manor and inserted it into a more articulated urban defensive system.
Later, the Arechi Castle became an important element in the Aragonese defensive chessboard, only to gradually lose importance with the changing techniques of warfare. It was almost completely abandoned in the 19th century.
It is now a Museum and an extraordinary location for Special Events.
